File service for bFlash

OBD and bench reads from bFlash you upload as open .bin and get back ready to write. Typically within minutes, around the clock.

How it works with bFlash

  1. Read out with bFlash

OBD at the diagnostic port or bench on the table, depending on the ECU. Read the complete file and save the .bin exactly as bFlash writes it.

  2. Upload

Attach the open .bin, choose vehicle, ECU and read method, tick the services. The cost is shown live next to the form before you submit.

  3. KENBot or by hand

Stage 1 and most options are processed automatically by KENBot, around the clock, typically in four minutes. Whatever the automation does not know, I do by hand on weekdays between 9 am and 6 pm.

  4. Write back

The file comes back as .bin, checksum corrected in the file, ready to write with bFlash. The original stays saved on the order, every file carries its SHA-256.

What to keep in mind with bFlash

Open .bin

bFlash delivers open files – no master panel, no encryption in between. The .bin goes straight into processing and comes back as .bin.

Read the complete file

Aborted reads – voltage too low, connection lost – produce files nothing can be done with. Charger on and read in one go. If OBD only delivers part of the file for an ECU, use bench.

What belongs in the note

Read method (OBD or bench), hardware changes, existing third-party software, gearbox type for gearbox orders, customer wishes.

Prices. One token is one Stage 1. Options on top of a stage from 0.25 tokens, credit never expires, not feasible means the token comes back. All prices and packages

Questions about bFlash

Can I have a bFlash file processed?

Yes. Upload the .bin as bFlash saves it – OBD or bench. KENBot processes it automatically, whatever it does not know I do by hand. It comes back as .bin with the checksum corrected.

OBD or bench – which is better for the file service?

Both work. OBD saves removing the ECU, bench delivers the more complete read on some ECUs. Take the route bFlash offers for the ECU and upload the file as it comes.

How fast is a bFlash file ready?

Automatic orders typically in four minutes, around the clock. Manual work on weekdays between 9 am and 6 pm, usually the same day. Not feasible means the token goes back, revision included.
