How it works with MMS

  1. Read out

    With your MagicMotorSport tool via the read method it offers for the ECU. Read the complete file and save it exactly as the tool writes it.

  2. Upload

    Master file open, slave file encrypted – attach either directly. Choose vehicle, ECU, read method and services, the cost is shown live next to the form. Say in the note which tool you use.

  3. Panel, KENBot, by hand

    Slave files are decrypted via the panel. Then KENBot processes them automatically, around the clock, typically within minutes. Whatever the automation does not know, I do by hand on weekdays between 9 am and 6 pm.

  4. Write back

    Slave files come back re-encrypted in the format of your tool; the tool calculates the checksum when writing. Open files come back with the checksum corrected. The original stays saved on the order.

What to keep in mind with MMS

Master or slave

Open master files run like any other open file. Slave files can only be opened by the assigned master – so your tool has to be assigned to KENBES as master. That is settled at approval.

What belongs in the note

Which tool, master or slave, read method, hardware changes, existing third-party software, gearbox type for gearbox orders, customer wishes.

Which MagicMotorSport tools does the file service accept?

All that deliver a complete read – open as master, encrypted via the panel as slave. Put the tool in the note. When in doubt, upload: not feasible means the token goes back.

Can I have an MMS slave file processed?

Yes, via the panel: decrypted, processed, re-encrypted. You get it back in the format of your tool – not as an open file.

What does an MMS file cost?

One token for Stage 1, €100 net, €80 per token in the pack of ten. Master or slave makes no difference. Revision included, not feasible means the token goes back.
