File service for Autotuner
You upload the slave file just as your Autotuner saves it – the portal reads ECU and vehicle from it and fills in the form by itself. It comes back in Autotuner format, ready to write, typically within minutes.
How it works with Autotuner
Read out with Autotuner
OBD, bench or boot – whatever Autotuner offers for the ECU. Read the complete file and save it exactly as the tool delivers it. No renaming, no unpacking.
Upload the slave file
As a slave you upload the encrypted file directly; the portal detects ECU and vehicle and fills both in. As a master you upload the open .bin and choose vehicle and ECU yourself. Then pick the service – Stage 1, Stage 1+, gearbox – the cost is shown live next to the form.
KENBot or by hand
Stage 1 and most options are processed automatically by KENBot, around the clock, typically in four minutes. Whatever the automation does not know, I do by hand on weekdays between 9 am and 6 pm. You see the status on the order.
Write back
Slave files come back in Autotuner format and can be written directly with your tool; Autotuner calculates the checksum when writing. Open files come back as .bin with the checksum corrected. The original stays saved on the order, every file carries its SHA-256.
What to keep in mind with Autotuner
Master or slave
An Autotuner slave is bound to one master, and only that master can decrypt its files. For your slave files to work here, your tool has to be assigned to KENBES as master – how that works for your tool is settled at approval. Master users simply upload the open .bin.
Read the complete file
An aborted read – weak battery, ignition switched off too early, plug loose – produces a file nothing can be done with. Connect a charger and read in one go. If Autotuner only offers a virtual read for your ECU, upload exactly that file and say so in the note.
What belongs in the note
Hardware changes (which parts are fitted), existing third-party software, gearbox type for gearbox orders, and whatever the customer specifically wants. The more precise the note, the fewer queries. For slave files you do not need to enter ECU and vehicle – that is in the file.

Questions about Autotuner
Can I have an Autotuner slave file processed without being a master myself?
Yes, that is exactly what the file service is for. You upload the slave file, the portal decrypts it via the master panel, KENBot or I process it, and it comes back encrypted in Autotuner format. You need neither WinOLS nor a master tool.
Do I have to change my Autotuner master?
Only the assigned master can read slave files. If your Autotuner is bound to another master, the portal cannot open the file. Whether and how a change makes sense for you is settled at approval. With a master tool the question does not arise – you upload the open .bin.
Which services run automatically for Autotuner?
