Flex slave files run through the master panel: decrypted, processed, re-encrypted, returned in Flex format. Master reads you upload as open .bin and get back as .bin.
How it works with Flex (MagicMotorSport)
Read out with Flex
Via the read method Flex offers for the ECU – OBD, bench or boot. Read the complete file and save exactly the file Flex writes. With a slave licence that is the encrypted file, with master the open .bin.
Upload
Choose vehicle, ECU and read method, attach the file, tick the services. Slave file or open .bin, both work – the cost is shown live next to the form before you submit.
Master panel, KENBot, by hand
Slave files are decrypted via the Flex master panel. Then KENBot processes them automatically – around the clock, typically within minutes. Whatever the automation does not know, I do by hand on weekdays between 9 am and 6 pm.
Write back
Slave files come back re-encrypted in Flex format and can be written directly with your Flex; Flex calculates the checksum when writing. Open files come back as .bin with the checksum corrected. The original stays saved on the order.
What to keep in mind with Flex (MagicMotorSport)
Slave and master
A Flex slave file is encrypted and can only be opened via the assigned master. For it to work here, your Flex has to be assigned to KENBES as master – that is settled at approval. With a master licence you upload the open .bin, no detour.
Nothing to decrypt, nothing to convert
Upload the file as Flex saves it – no renaming, no converting. A .zip containing the read works too. Decrypting and re-encrypting is done by the master panel.
What belongs in the note
Hardware changes, gearbox type for gearbox orders, what the customer wants. If the vehicle was already tuned, say so and upload the original as well if you have it – otherwise the third-party software is treated as the starting point.

Can I have a Flex slave file decrypted?
It is decrypted in order to be processed – via the master panel, then encrypted again. You get the processed file back in Flex format, not the open file. That is the point of the master-slave principle and applies here as well.
Flex master or slave – which is better for the file service?
Both work. With master you upload the open .bin and can also have it processed elsewhere. With slave you save the master licence but are bound to your master. The price per file is the same here for both: one token for Stage 1.
What if the Flex file is not feasible?
Then the token goes straight back to your credit. That also applies if the master panel cannot open the file – for example because your Flex is assigned to another master. You see it in the order history.
