How it works with CMD Flash
Read out with CMD Flash
OBD at the diagnostic port or boot directly on the ECU, depending on the protocol. Read the complete file and save it exactly as CMD writes it.
Upload
Attach the open file, choose vehicle, ECU and read method, tick the services – Stage 1, Stage 1+, gearbox, start-stop. The cost is shown live next to the form.
KENBot or by hand
Stage 1 and most options run through KENBot, around the clock, typically in four minutes. Whatever the automation does not know, I do by hand on weekdays between 9 am and 6 pm.
Write back
The file comes back in the same format you uploaded it in – the way it belongs in the ECU, checksum included. The original stays saved on the order, every file carries its SHA-256.

Read the complete file
Aborted reads – voltage too low, connection lost – produce useless files. Charger on and read in one go. For boot reads upload the file as CMD saves it, without leaving parts out.
What belongs in the note
Read method (OBD or boot), hardware changes, existing third-party software, gearbox type for gearbox orders, customer wishes.

Questions about CMD Flash
Can I have a CMD Flash file processed?
Yes. Upload the read as CMD saves it – OBD or boot. KENBot processes it automatically, whatever it does not know I do by hand. It comes back in the same format.
Which services are available for CMD files?
The same as everywhere: Stage 1, Stage 1+, economy tuning, gearbox/DSG, start-stop. Vmax, pop & bang and E85 only with a declaration of purpose. You see the cost while selecting, before you submit.
What does a CMD file cost?
One token for Stage 1, that is €100 net; €80 per token in the pack of ten. New workshops start with one token of starting credit. Not feasible means the token goes back, revision included.
